Alexei Lapkin

Prof. Alexei Lapkin studied chemistry at Novosibirsk State University and after graduation worked at Boreskov Institute of Catalysis. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering at University of Bath (UK) under supervision of Prof. John W. Thomas. He then worked as Lecturer-Reader of Chemical Engineering at University of Bath, Professor of Engineering at University of Warwick, before being appointed to his current position of Professor of Sustainable Reaction Engineering at University of Cambridge. His group works on conversion of bio-feedstocks, process intensification in different sectors of chemical industries, modeling of reactions and processes, and methods of assessment of sustainability in the chemical industries.
