Maximilian hempel

Maximilian Hempel received his PhD at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg on Mercury in the Environment. From 1990 to 1996 he worked at the Institute for Chemistry of the Helmholtz Centre Geesthacht. Since 2002, he is working for the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU). He is in charge of the Department of Environmental Chemistry and the project group Resource Efficiency. His main fields of interest are green and sustainable chemistry and pharmacy as well as innovation management. He is member of the board of the GDCh-working group “Sustainable Chemistry”. He edited 5 books and published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers.
