Kate Geraghty

Kate Geraghty is Global Sustainability Manager for the Dow Chemical Company, aligned to the Consumer Solutions business.

In her current role, Kate leads the development and implementation of the business units’ global sustainability strategies. She has developed Consumer Solutions’s sustainability-related policy advice and engagement strategies across multiple stakeholder forums. She represents business interests towards the European Union Institutions and at various EU and US trade associations. She has established an effective team to develop and execute an advocacy strategy to mitigate the impact of microplastics legislation. Kate has also launched projects to drive more sustainable and differentiated offerings as well as applied sustainability tools and training.

Prior to her work at Dow, Kate has held positions in corporate regulatory affairs with Du Pont, been an Associate with environmental consultancy WSP, worked on a resourced efficiency programme for the UK Government and served as Environmental Projects Manager with Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials.

Kate is based at Dow’s European headquarters in Horgen, Switzerland.

She holds a MSc. (Dist.) in Environmental Monitoring and Assessment from Coventry University. In 2014 she graduated from IMD business school’s Sustainability Leadership in Action programme. She also holds qualifications in Life Cycle Management from Surrey University and Sustainable Chemical Management from Blekinge Institute Technology, Karskrona.
